D’Andra Johnson, LMFT #139785

Founder and CEO

Hello, I’m D’Andra (she/her). I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and have worked in the mental health field for 8 years. I have provided support to individuals in community clinics, partial hospital and intensive outpatient programs and for community mental health agencies. Now, in private practice, I am building a company with humanity at the center. I strive to use all of my experience to provide support to individuals who are looking to move “beyond the mask of functioning.”

Many of the individuals and couples I work with are experiencing challenges, such as hyper-independence, people-pleasing, self-esteem issues, and relational wounds. I work with adults, teens (13+) and couples. I also have a special interest in addressing the unique pressures, systemic challenges, and cultural factors that shape mental health in Black and Brown communities.

I approach therapy as a collaborator, meaning we work together to develop goals that align with your needs. I use approaches such as attachment theory, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help my clients navigate difficult thoughts, become less avoidant of emotions, reconcile relational wounds, and take values-based action. I am trauma informed, meaning I pay special attention to how experiences such as childhood adversity can shape one's sense of self, relationships, and disrupt safety. I strive to bring cultural humility to our work, recognizing how identity, culture, and systemic issues influence mental health and the therapeutic process.
